“La nuit”, is a short movie that refer to a manifesto that i wrote about night.
The night is the moment that I appreciate the most, it is the moment when nothing is important anymore or we can let go. It is often at night that I find myself the most, because here I feel good I feel peaceful, it must be said that there is nothing quieter than the night. I have always liked the night and even now I find it easier to work and concentrate at night. When I was younger I used to stay up late just to observe my surroundings, but it's also the fact of telling myself that I was the only one awake that excites me, the only one aware of what happens at night, when everyone's eyes are closed. So I wandered the halls, or lay awake in my bed with my cat staring out the window at the moon.
But I grew up and night also became a playground, where you meet new people very different from those you find during the day. I learned that the night is also going to the bar, to drink a beer, to have fun, to chat, to dance, to simply be social.
Going out at night for me means escaping routine, playing pool with a friend and smoking a cigarette. I could also do it during the day but the atmosphere is not the same. But it's when it's really late and everyone is home that it gets interesting because it's just you and the silence.
The streets are empty, the wind rushes through the streets creating a draft and a whistle, the city seems deserted I am the only one wandering.
I think the night has always influenced and educated me and is a source of inspiration for me. It is an important moment of reflection because, as they say, the night always brings advice.
